Since the creation of the brand in 2006, at Seventy Seven, we have always strived to produce the highest quality instruments and have established ourselves as a reference brand in the world for Holow Bodies.
In 2020, we launched our new range - the "Seventy Seven Japan Tune-Up" series. With over 40 years of experience building guitars since 1977 and the know-how that comes with constant development and attention to the needs of musicians, we have worked on every detail to achieve optimal performance and give you all the tools you need to create amazing music. In addition, we make sure our instruments are set up to arrive ready to play as soon as you pick them up.
We use a slim C-shaped neck, easy to play even for players with small hands, and even for pieces with lots of string changes.
It is well known that professional guitarists don't usually use their newly purchased guitars directly as they are set up at the factory, but take them to a trusted luthier to set them up to their preferences before playing them as "veterans" who know their guitars well and tune them to get the sound they want. But with the factory settings of -SetentySeven Japan Tune-Up-, you can be sure that your performance will be the best possible without the need for any additional adjustments.
String height is one of the main factors contributing to the playability of the guitar. The strings are carefully adjusted one by one to give them just the right height to maintain an excellent sound while making it easy to play.
Each fret edge goes through a series of rounding processes ranging from the use of sandpaper, steel wool and other tools to give each fret edge the meticulous treatment necessary to make it as smooth as possible so that it can slide left-handed with ease, even on the upper frets.
We use our AL2 pickups that use Alnico 2 magnets. With clear sounds comparable to the dazzling bell sound that won't hurt your ears but will give you a warm feeling while at the same time, if you use an overdrive pedal, you can get a great "crunch" sound. The JT will provide you with all the means to boost your creativity and offer you a rich experience that will undoubtedly help you make beautiful music.
A hard case with the Seventy Seven logo is included, designed to provide excellent protection for storing your precious instrument.
To celebrate the launch of the new series - Seventy Seven Japan Tune-up and for a limited time only, we will include a special pickguard designed by Aska Workshop designer and engineer, Yoshida Yukihiro, who was in charge of the entire operation.
The original Seventy-Seven Guitars logo in the shape of Nagano Prefecture as the design we used on the heads of our instruments when we launched our brand, printed on a single-layer white acrylic pickguard to commemorate this special occasion.
