The Fire Bottle™ is an all-tube booster specially designed to enhance the tone of single coil pickups. With up to 30dB of gain on tap, this powerful boost pedal can push the input stage of a tube amp into beautiful breakup and rich overdrive, creating glassy, bolder, larger-than-life Stevie Ray Vaughan Strat® guitar sounds.
The tube circuitry delivers stacks of head-room and very, very low noise floor for outstanding dynamics, preserving the attack characteristics while creating musical and natural compression—the PC-2A wraps your signal in velvet, enhancing your guitar tone without stamping a solid-state signature on it. Useful in live situations for adding ‘punch’ or fattening up thin single coil pickups and indispensable when recording direct to digital audio workstations (computer) to prevent nasty transient distortion artefacts that modern digital recording devices produce if overloaded. Acoustic players will also appreciate the smoothness and sustain the PC-2A will add to amplified acoustic guitar, especially those fitted with piezo pickups.
The tube is manufactured to meet the stringent MIL-E-1 specification for reliability and designed for long service life under conditions of severe shock, vibration (20,000G!), high temperature and high altitude. The sub-miniature tubes represent the absolute pinnacle of tube technology and offer exceptional musical performance and reliability making this the perfect compressor pedal for studio and touring in even the harshest conditions. Like my other sub-miniature tube pedals, the PC-2A is true bypass for uncoloured feed-through.

The pre-amp, mixer and phase-shifters sections are built on triode tubes operating at real amp plate voltages and it has a powerful L.F.O. that makes it possible to sculpt thick, swampy vibe tones at higher modulation rates through to textural & spacious chorus effects at slower rates. The tone is outrageously cool – it’s absolutely the lushest, most psychedelic sounding guitar pedal there is! One of those devices that epitomise analogue with it’s unique, slightly blurry, liquid phase-chorused tone, impossible to simulate.

All Tube: Circuitry for the ultimate in audiophile performance! – low background noise and stacks of headroom. The Tube-Vibe takes single coil or humbucker pickups extremely well – the pedal ships with a 12AU7 tube in its input stage so has ample headroom for stunning, clean Vibe tones. However, the 12AU7 can be swapped out for other 9-pin varieties with a higher gain factor such as 12AY7 or 12AX7 to create more of a Leslie-style growl or push your favourite vintage/boutique tube amp into overdrive for some seriously thick/sustaining tones.
Dual LFOs: In ‘Classic’ mode the Tube-Vibe authentically sculpts the deep, swampy Uni-Vibe throb and in ‘Smooth’ mode it reproduces dreamy, ethereal chorus voicings. Additionally, the LFO can be halted (frozen) so it can work as a sweepable notch filter to create hollow sounding scooped textures.
Chorus/Vibrato Switch: Selects between the classic Hendrix/Trower Uni-Vibe chorus and de-tuning pitch-bend vibrato. Additionally, the internal ‘Blend’ trimmer allows further fine-tuning of the vibe throb.
High, one megaohm input impedance: Ensures a wide open and clear tone – your guitar pickup is “seeing” a tube amp input stage. The input resistance of the Uni-Vibe is only 69Kohm which is low enough to load the output of a guitar and dull the sound or cause significant treble loss to single coil pickups.
True Bypass Switching: With Effectrode’s unique ‘anti-pop’ or ‘thump’ footswitching circuitry utilising sealed, gold-contact relay to eliminate the possibility of dirty contacts degrading the sound and minimal internal audio path.

The Blackbird™ is a genuine all-tube preamp in a compact pedal. It’s designed to add multiple channels to vintage/boutique guitar amps or use as a professional quality direct recording tube preamplifier. The tonal palette of this machine is immense – the drive channel ranges from fat, warm, bluesy drive sounds, through to rich, full-bodied classic rock distortion and even heavy, harmonically-saturated metal sounds. This channel utilises the same dynamic and touch sensitive 4 stage all-tube clipping circuitry only found in an elite few hi-end guitar amps. By simply digging in or easing off with the guitar pick the tube circuitry responds musically and works with you to create soaring expressive solos and its natural tube compression means you can effortlessly transition into rhythm or chord playing – the tone is superbly balanced. The clean channel has a beautiful and glassy musical tone that lends itself to country and jazz playing, however because it’s a replica of the ‘Blackface’ tube circuit it too can be pushed into breakup and warm overdrive with higher output pickups or a booster pedal. Again, this channel has great depth, clarity and richness – tones that only that only tubes can produce.
The Glass-A™ model GL-1A triode buffer is specially designed to do just one thing very, very well – buffer the output signal from a musical instrument fitted with a high impedance pickups or transducer. The Glass-A buffers the pickup from cables and effect pedals input stages to prevent ‘loading’ which dulls and degrades the instrument’s tone.
High voltage tube circuitry coupled with audiophile passive components makes the Glass-A a sonic dream! Its frequency response is flat from 5Hz to over 100KHz with a shallow roll-off to maintain low phase distortion. The wide linear region of a tube operating at 300V means this buffer can handle signal levels of over 50V P-P and its parallel cathode follower circuitry ensures whisper quiet operation and superb line-drive capability. The Glass-A will effortlessly handle active 5-string bass guitars, NS Stick and even ‘difficult’ instruments with fast transients such as lutes, harpsichords and hammered dulcimers to reveal more detail and improve the depth and clarity and of these instruments.
The Tube Drive™ is simple to use and flexible enough to authentically reproduce a wide palette of tones from mellow blues, to classic rock overdrive and smooth, fine-grained, supersaturated modern guitar tones. The secret is Three dual triode tubes biased to produce extremely symmetrical signal clipping across 6 cascaded gain stages. In practice this means the pedal responds empathically to pick attack with a smooth and graceful breakup characteristic on low drive settings, producing an expressive warm blues tone. Increasing the drive introduces rich and musical harmonic overtones that pack serious punch for a larger-than-life, “hot-rodded” amp tone. The tone quality of the Tube Drive exceptionally musical, organic and sounds distinctly different to pushing an amp with a solid-state diode clipping or even hybrid opamp/tube overdrive pedal and it won’t mask the natural sound of your guitar and amplifier.
