This special limited edition Chalky Box pedal boasts that the case is covered with paint on the board and comes with its own set of chalks, so you can create your own artistic touch of effect.

WAY HUGE "Purple Platypus"

Octave and fuzz are so naturally (if dementedly) matched that it’s almost unusual to see an octave pedal without fuzz. But octave effects can be made more articulate and versatile with a lower-gain source of drive. This concept inspired Jeorge Tripps' original Purple Platypus, and the new MkII version reviewed here.

Fundamentally, the Purple Platypus is derived from the Dan Armstrong Green Ringer and Tripps' Red Llama overdrive, which was rooted in Craig Anderton’s Tube Sound Fuzz design. Unlike some super-glitchy octave fuzzes, the Platypus’ sustain is impressive when you keep the gain wide open.

Joe Bonamassa likes his overdriven sound bold and punchy, and the Way Huge Overrated Special™ Overdrive is designed to give the impeccable blues man just that. Jeorge Tripps took an old school Green Rhino OD, hot-rodded it for a more pronounced midrange, and added a 500Hz control so that Joe can punch up the low mids for his tasty, groovy licks. Volume, Tone, and Drive controls round out a straightforward user interface so you can plug in and get right to it. Run the Overrated Special OD in front of a clean amp for a gritty boost, or slam an already distorted channel for an electrifying surge of gain and sustain worthy of Joe Bonamassa’s searing leads.

WAY HUGE " Supa Puss Analog Delay" by DUNLOP

The Way Huge® Supa-Puss™ Analog Delay was designed by delay master Jeorge Tripps for exploring the farthestreaches of true analog delay potential, featuring an eternity of delay time and fine control over numerous parameters of your delay signal. 

Tripps equipped the Supa-Puss with a total of six bucket-brigade chips, delivering up to 900 milliseconds of delay time. With the Tap Tempo switch, you can program in real time up to three full seconds of delay time for ethereal ambience. The Subdivision control allows you to set how your repeats are subdivided, and by switching to the unique Chase mode, you can set your repeats to cycle through each of the Subdivision values in different ways for maximum freak-out effects. 

In addition to standard Delay and Feedback controls, Tripps included several controls for fine-tuning the sound of your repeats: Tone for shaping color, Gain for adding grit, and Speed and Depth controls for adding shimmering, liquid textures with the Supa-Puss’ LFO modulation circuit. For even further tweakability, Tripps added a true Mix control so you can set your desired blend of wet and dry signals. 

Finally, the Supa-Puss has anexpression pedal jack so you hook up an expression pedal for continuous, real-time control over the Supa-Puss’ delay time.

The most sought after and corpulent Way Huge pedal is back! The Swollen Pickle MkII surrenders super high-gain fuzz with copious amounts of smooth low-end to all who dare plug into it. With a twist of the Sustain control, you’re taken from mild crunch to Armageddon! The Filter control retains its trademark insane range of heavily band-pass-filtered tones, distinguished by remarkable girth and sizzle, and the Loudness puts out enough volume to clobber any amp! Newly added features include a tone stack Scoop control that elicits classic Swollen Pickle mid-scoop or a flat mid-frequency sweep, and a Crunch knob to adjust the compression intensity of the fuzz.
