Custom Shop ’60s Jazz Bass pickups offer vintage-style growl, mid-range and clarity while the HiMass™ Vintage bridge enhances sustain, resonance and stability. Finally, every Commemorative Jazz Bass features special badging with a 75th anniversary ingot inlaid into the back of the headstock and an engraved anniversary neck plate.

The single-coil Jazz Bass pickups deliver authentic, original-era tone. The “Mid ‘60s C”-shaped neck has a 9.5”-radius fingerboard with 20 Medium Jumbo frets for comfortable playing feel. A vintage-style, 4-saddle bridge with threaded saddles and reverse, open-gear tuning machines provide classic aesthetics, rock-solid performance and tuning stability. Other features include 34” scale length, chrome hardware and 4-bolt neck plate. Includes a deluxe gig bag.

FENDER "Mexico Jazz Bass ´60s, Black"

The Jazz Bass (or J Bass) is the second model of electric bass created by Leo Fender. It is distinct from the Precision Bass in that its tone is brighter and richer in the midrange and treble with less emphasis on the fundamental frequency.^{[citation needed]} It has a more focused tone than the Precision Bass, with less low end and low midrange.^{[citation needed]} The sound of the Jazz Bass has been fundamental in the development of signature sounds in certain musical genres, such as funk, disco, reggae, blues, progressive rock, heavy metal and jazz fusion.^{[citation needed]} The body shape is also different from the Precision Bass, in that the Precision Bass has a symmetrical lower bout on the body, designed after the Telecaster and Stratocaster lines of guitars, while the Jazz Bass has an offset lower bout, mimicking the design aesthetic of the Jaguar and Jazzmaster guitars.
